I had the pleasure of meeting Marianne and her husband Tom when they flew into Vancouver. I wasn't sure if I would know Marianne without her hatched and her father. But as soon as we saw them walking toward us, we knew it was definitely her. I do have to say, Marianne is so much prettier in person then on TV. The character and look of Norma doesn't compair to the real thing.

It was also an honor to meet Tom. I've communicated with him a few times via e-mail, but was looking forward to meeting him as much as Marianne. I wanted to ask if I could take a photo of them together before boarding the shuttle bus, but I knew they were strapped for time and I was so happy to meet them, I didn't want to delay them to long.

We went across the street to the terminal by this little stream with totem poles and took some photos. Marianne said with the totem poles, we couldn't get anymore Vancouver then that, and she was right. I think it also made a nice background for our photos.

My husband Terry took some photos of Marianne, my daughters, Amanda & Alana and myself, then I told him he needed to get in there so I could take some of him with Marianne. I don't think he was expecting it, but I know he enjoyed being able to take part in it as much as I did.

I also want to say Marianne gave me a loaf of bread she baked. Let me tell you, that was some of the best bread I've ever had. In fact, I ate more of it then anyone else, and it didn't last very long. It was so good, it is called Kona Inn Banana Bread. It has some walnuts, which I love. Thanks again Marianne, that was very kind of you to think of us and do that. We all appreciated it.

The photos below are great, and I have to thank Marianne for letting me take them, I had to laugh, I wanted to use all the film in my camera and only thought I had 1 or 2 left. So when it kept clicking, I was surprised when it took more then I had expected. Thanks for indulging me. *S* I did tell you I would have some good photos of you for the site with taking so many!
