Just a little info about the person behind the site. My name is Rosemarie, I grew up in Herald, California. I spent all my free time riding horses & caring for other animals we had from sheep to cows to chickens. I was also an active member in 4-H, doing the sheep project from the 5th grade & then in F.F.A. all through High School.
When I was 19, I married & moved to Newfoundland, Canada in May of 1990. We lived there for a couple months before moving to British Columbia where we spent 12 years & then in 2002 we moved to Calgary, Alberta.
I have two great daughters, Amanda & Alana.
We are a pet loving family with a dog named Dodger, 8 rabbits, 3 guinea pigs, a chinchilla & 2 horses. Amanda bought Ben, an Arabian gelding in June of 2009. Shortly after on August 1, 2009 Buzz, an Appaloosa, joined our family.
Both girls have been involved in the Calgary 4-H Southpaws. This club has been a big part of our lives since 2003 when Amanda first joined. Alana joined in 2004. I became the Clubs General Leader in November 2007. Amanda & her friend Krysta started their own club which branched off from the rabbit project in the 4-H club, it's called the Canadian Rabbit Hopping Club. The girls are the first known to start rabbit hopping & agility in Canada.
One of the other things I enjoyed collecting as a child was Breyer Model Horses. I remember getting one of my very first one when I was 6 or so. It was a paint horse given to me by a lady at Robinson's Feed Store in Lodi, Calif. Her name is Pat. That's all it took & I was hooked. The girls have picked up the love of horses & have decided to start collecting them as well. In total we have over 250 models.
Many people I meet through one of the sites I do ask me how I ever got into doing web sites. It's simple, luck! I did a fan site for Andrea Evans in 1998 & in 1999 she & her manager saw it, contacted me & before I knew it she asked me to do it for her Officially. Then I had the chance to go to L.A. & meet Andrea. Over the years it's been such an honor meeting & getting to know such great people. In 2001 I was asked to do Marianne Muellerleile who is such a wonderful lady. I had the chance to meet her & her husband Tom in Vancouver shortly after starting working for her.
For anyone interested, I've started a blog, which I admit isn't updated very often, but now & then I take some time to put down some thoughts. I am also on facebook. I have a MySpace account, but never use it, so chances are, if you look for me there, you'll never get ahold of me!
